The Gravesham Pride website is a bold statement using a simple pallet with large clear type on a light background.
A WordPress back end supports a traditional blog/news site which cross posts to a Facebook page and Twitter account. Selected posts are also reblogged to Instagram.
Page and post editing is managed using Elementor with role based access for users.
The “webstore” is WooCommerce based linking to a DropShipping fulfilment partner.
Gravesham Pride Event Management have role based access to the EventPrime back end. A booking module provides registration and downloadable ticketing for attendees. An analytics module is also available to authorised users.
Payment processing is handled via Stripe and Braintree.
The Membership section provides user and group access to additional content. Members can subscribe to activity and interest groups. Paid subscriptions are a possible extension although not implemented. The membership module includes: personal blogging, a group wall, group galleries, private messaging and group event management.
The site uses a responsive design and all pages are mobile friendly. Images are optimised for delivery to desktop and mobile devices.
The whole site is protected with business standard 256k encryption and all forms use reCAPTCHA v3 to avoid spam and bot submissions.
Mail from the site and mailing lists is processed using a managed delivery service providing validation and traceability.
Gravesham Pride is managed and operated by unpaid professionals who volunteer their time. Calver Consulting are proud to volunteer our time in training and ongoing support.
What we did
Much of the Gravesham Pride content is created by its membership and is not available to the “public”. Privacy settings throughout the membership module allow members complete control of their content. The Gravesham Pride logo was adapted for use with the business sponsorship packages.
